Responsibilities:
- Reviewing commercial and residential development plans for consistency with general plan, zoning ordinance, local coastal program, state, and local ordinances/regulations
- Processing development permit applications including use permit applications, tentative map applications, and lot line adjustments
- Ensuring compliance with city ordinances regarding design, architecture, landscape, and other criteria
- Conducting environmental review pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
- Working on Complex Coastal Development Projects
- Processing zone text, zone map, and general plan amendments
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Urban Studies OR Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies with 5 years of experience
