Description:
Develop state-of-the-art Application Specific Integrated Circuits to support experiments in several fields of science. Define key specs of analog & digital cells, conduct behavioral modeling to validate system architectures, & document design towards formal design reviews.
Requirements:
- Master's in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Strong analog design background
- In-depth knowledge of:
- CMOS Analog / Mixed Signal Circuit Design
- Low-noise & low-power amplifiers & design techniques
- Biasing circuits
- Data & timing converters
- High-speed transmitter & receiver
- PLLs & LDOs
- Verification techniques of mixed-signal circuits
- IC design flow
- CAD tools for schematic entry, simulation, & layout design, including physical verification & top-level integration
- High-energy-physics or x-ray image front-end circuit design
- One or more HDL languages (Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog)
- Excellent debugging, analytical, & communications skills
- 40% hybrid schedule permitted within commuting distance
