Vice President - Capital Markets Group (Financial Analyst). TPG Global, LLC, San Francisco, CA; FT(40 hrs/wk). Will work across the TPG platform with other investment professionals in all industry groups and geographies, with a focus on investment opportunities and portfolio companies across the United States and within the Capital Markets Group. Perform financial valuation analysis and due diligence, including: leading or supporting due diligence efforts on investments — accounting, finance, legal, and business; actively work with the portfolio companies on building long-term value — e.g., developing and maintaining strategic objectives, financial performance, and integration planning; Structure, finance, and execute mergers and follow-on acquisitions; and finding ways to maximize returns for existing investments through sales, mergers, IPOs, and other avenues for realizing value. Provide assessments and monitoring of investments, including: participating in all aspects of the direct investing process and would work closely with both associates and senior investment professionals; performing review of business opportunities and discuss relevant factors with team members; assessing and understanding macro-economic environment, political and regulatory issues, business climates, social developments and corporate governance issues in the Capital Market Group; building TPG's institutional knowledge of these factors and incorporate them into analyses of current and potential investments; monitoring investments and offer assessments of ideas generated by other investment professionals; and oversee associates and directly participate in conducting direct due diligence analysis; and Participate in firmwide meetings, including: collaborating across multiple different functional groups and with other company platforms to gather investment insights and drive diligence findings; and communicating with deal team professionals on investment processes. Supervises Associate(s). Occasional travel within the United States to explore investment opportunities and to manage existing investments approximately 5 times per year, and to attend firm meetings approximately twice a year. Position is based in San Francisco, California. Limited telecommuting option of 2 days per week.
Min Requirements: Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (foreign educational equivalent acceptable). Must have completed Bachelor's level coursework in: Analytical Geometry & Calculus, Introduction to Logic, Principles of Business, Introduction to Probability and Statistics for Business, Introduction to Economics, Microeconomic Analysis, Introduction to Finance, Macroeconomic Analysis, Financial and Behavioral Economics, Game Theory Social Science, Psychology and Economics, and Econometrics. Plus an aggregate of five (5) years of experience as an Investment Banker, within a Banking Corporation engaged in Global Investment Banking. The required five (5) years of experience must be post-baccalaureate progressive work experience.
